Crescent Roll Pizza Bites

Crescent Roll Pizza Bites

One of the nice things about having grocery delivery here in Utah is that I can just come straight home from work, school, whatever, and not have to stop at the store to pick up ingredients for dinner. Daily Goods takes care of walking around the store for you. I just have to cook, and I love to cook.

Pizza is one of my favorites and I’m sure it will find its way onto this blog many times. I was trying out a similar recipe I found online but I tweaked it and made it my own. Here is what you’ll need to make it:

1 tube of flaky crescent rolls

1 1/2 cups shredded cheddar cheese

1 1/2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese

1/2 cup shredded parmesan cheese

4 tbsp of softened butter

1 tsp garlic powder

1/2 – 1 cup marinara sauce (depending on how much dipping sauce you want)

20 slices pepperoni

any other filling you’d like

Preheat the oven to 350 degrees. Unroll the crescent roll dough and on each piece place some cheddar, mozzarella, a couple of pepperonis and whatever other filling you like on your pizza. Wrap each one up until completely enclosed and give the dough a little pinch and twirl on the top (it’s cute). Place them into a sprayed, oven safe dish such as corningware. Melt the butter in the microwave, don’t let it bubble too much. Mix the butter and garlic powder well, then drizzle on top of the rolls. Top the rolls with the parmesan cheese. Then comes the hardest part, waiting while it bakes in the oven for about 30 minutes or until golden brown. Once out of the oven let it cool for 5 minutes then serve with the warmed marinara sauce. An easy snack everyone will love.
